Environmental and Sustainability Education introduces students to connections between people, their culture and their environment.
They are learning about the environment, in the environment, for the environment.
Learning experiences in the natural environment help students to develop positive attitudes and skills for life.
The Wetlands Environmental Education Centre offers a range of excursion opportunities for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Programs reflect the site of the excursion at the Wetlands Environmental Education Centre, which is located in a 45ha wetland reserve at Hunter Wetland Centre, Australia.
Programs promote the integration of environmental education with all key learning areas as indicated in the NSW Environmental Education Policy for Schools (2001).
Programs fulfil curriculum requirements for science and technology, history, biology, geography, investigating science, earth and environmental science and also provide opportunities to link with other key learning and cross curriculum areas.
All school excursion bookings are made by phoning or emailing the Wetlands Environmental Education Centre office and discussing the appropriate program and suitable date for your school. Our School Administration Manager is available on 4955 8673.
